End of Interview with Karin Taylor

Angels by Karin Taylor
I think that is it from me on Isabella and Tiny but I did ask Karin's permission to keep in contact as I would love to return to her as I develop my own art project into a business venture, perhaps nearer the launch date in winter it would be great if I can get back to Karin. (That's our winter on this side of this hemisphere - perhaps I should say Christmas to keep things less complicated)
......

With Karin we have had a look at great images on fantastical subjects and in approaching themes from different perspectives.
Fairies by Karin Taylor
We have had a look at the strength in her images, even though many at first glance may appear to be merely cute. I was startled by the steel core found in her work and Karin was good enough to share on that subject in her art.
We also talked about the battle of finding a medium that was capable of capturing a certain essence of light. We got to talk about the reasons why she has been captivated by certain subjects. In fact in a few questions we got through quite a lot and I think given more time we wouldn't have run out even if we had continued for a month. I have so enjoyed the process.
Beyond The Stick Figure
I'd like to talk to Karin more about her book at a later stage, as the project I have planned is to do with imagination, creativity and story telling which as we have seen through the interview is at the heart of Karin's work and life. I'd love to share more what Karin's book offers for the benefit of others and maybe even glean some tips from her. Thankfully Karin has agreed to be revisited and if that is something I think I can share with others, then I will be. For now, I would like to thank Karin, it's hard to express how useful this task has been to me, not only in looking at Isabella and Tiny but in galvanising my own art project which I hope to be revealing shortly when I have worked out a way to explain it.
Thank you Karin Taylor.
In the meantime for those of you who don't know Karin's work I'd encourage you set aside a little enjoyment time to check out her artwork. If you find a favourite feel free to leave a comment here or if you are flying by and you are one of the people that Karin has encouraged and helped on the way to developing your own work through her great attitude or through her book or creative exercises then do give us a wave! I know I have some good questions for Karin in my next few posts and it would be great if you got involved and shared that journey with us.
If you already checked out Karin's artwork as a result of yesterday's post then have you took a look at her book?- it's full of yummy creative goodness!

I am on the lookout for other artists and creators to interview and learn from so if you do get a call up, then I hope Karin's willingness and honesty in sharing will encourage you. If you think you can't wait for me to find you and you would like to have your art and thoughts highlighted here then don't hesitate to give me a shout.
